HAVE WE GONE COMPLETELY MAD? David Paul Williams

 The latest news is a prime example of two things. A college student appearing before congress in order to plead for money in the health care bill to pay for $3000 per year of contraception for women has taken our country over the abyss of moral degeneracy. I have always had the opinion that CHOICE is a decision to abstain from self gratification of any form. Why is it that this generation thinks that the human being is like an animal that cannot make choices but behave without any moral character? I have written here about the fact that no one can be moral without knowing God who is the HOLY ONE and that the basis of all morality is seeking the best end for God and the universe. If we bring this thought to the Christian perspective, it means that we always ask ourselves WHAT WOULD JESUS DO? So, the more we try to be like Jesus the less we will follow the dictates of the flesh which will do anything to satisfy self gratification in all of its forms.

In this country we have lost the truth of what moral law is all about. The Bible says, “to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not it is sin…” It appears that we no longer have any conscience but why should we? We have decided that we don’t need prayer in the schools, God in the pledge, the Ten Commandments in our courts, and the freedom to speak about our Christian beliefs in the same venues where Moslims can dress, talk, and act any way they wish. Moral law is the unwritten standard of right and wrong. What is that? It means choosing the best end for all the universe and even God. Is providing contraception the best end for all and even God? Hardly! For there to be a moral law, there must be a moral governor. Let me ask you this: is the US Government a very good moral governor? Hardly! You can ask the same question about any individual or organization in the world, EVEN THE CATHOLIC CHURCH or the Baptist Churches for that matter. None will qualify to be a moral governor, but only God qualifies. Next, there must be sanctions or punishment for breaking the law. The Bible says, “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” God could never let anyone go free from this sanction of eternal death and still be a Just God. However, if He provides a substitute, Jesus Christ, he can not only be a just God but also a merciful God in allowing Jesus to die in our place. It is when we meet Jesus and realize that we love Him because He first loved us that we suddenly see what our awful self gratification does in the face of Jesus Christ’s selfless sacrifice. We can’t be moral without the indwelling Holy Spirit speaking to our conscience every day to keep us from selfishness and sin.

So, when we see the news and the controversy about paying for college students so they can practice self gratification with no sanctions or consequences for their sin, we realize that the reason for all of it is that they don’t know God or they would abstain from all appearance of evil. Taking God out of our society which is based upon Bible principles has left a void and removed the conscience that the Holy Spirit would bring to bear on our society. There has never been a more clear reason why we need revival in this nation of evil immoral people. We just can’t stay away from discussions that go more and more deeply into the gutter. FOR SHAME TO ALL, RIGHT WING, LEFT WING, CATHOLIC, CONSERVATIVE, EVERYONE. This is just what Satan wants. He wants every ear to hear a constant barrage of evil immorality, even children and Christians. The more we hear the more we are anesthetized by this evil conversation and we get to the point that we no longer blush.

I said at the beginning of this that the latest news is a prime example of two things. I have discussed the immorality of our country but now I need to state that we are being cunningly manipulated by the very DEMONS OF HELL to discuss the “s” word so that we forget to focus on the fact that we have a communist President who was friends with Terrorists from the ’60s’ and ’70s’ and has a plan to change our country into a socialist or communist country and in order to do that he is running up the debt, crippling our economy, our energy policies, and practically everything else that our country stands for, including FREEDOM OF RELIGION. We have serious problems that need to be fixed in this country or we will go the way of China, Russia, and Germany under Hitler with a totalitarian leader who will surely imprison Christians for refusing to accept the health care and other demands of the Obama Communist Government.

My wife and I have a voice broadcast system that will broadcast a message to everyone in the community to get prospects for church and to let people hear a message of hope. We have called thousands of churches in order to share with them the fantastic tool that God has given us to get the gospel out before it is too late. Unfortunately far too few churches think it is even important to get the gospel to every creature. We are stunned by the lack of interest when our country is about to lose all of our freedoms and pastors don’t really care about getting the gospel to everyone before we lose what we have had since the founding of our country. Churches all over America are using NIV bibles which were written with the corrupted Greek of the Westcott and Hort text that was conceived by demons and necromancers to destroy Christianity. Churches are also inviting the most sensuous music ever heard in church in the form of CCM music. Is it any wonder that we nor longer have any moral compass? The Bible rightly says that if the salt has lost its savor, wherewith shall it be seasoned? If Christians no longer care about souls and our churches are just as sensuous as the world, we will surely lose this fight against evil and our country and lives will surely be lost.

It seems that the words of a song are the most appropriate way to close this editorial. We need to heed these words more than we have ever done before:

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His Glory and grace.

Isn’t it about time to get our focus back? Isn’t it time that we realize that we are slipping away and we may lose it all? I think that this video I did 3 weeks ago from a sermon preached years ago by the speaker when he was young gives us a great illustration of just how serious our state is in this country and how badly we need to repent and turn back to God.
